| What is a bandwidth limit? |
To access any website on the Internet your computer has to download the information from a web server to your browser window. The transferred amount of data is measured over a period of time. Web hosting companies usually quote a monthly bandwidth usage according to the chosen hosting plan. |
| |
| What happens if I exceed my bandwidth limit? |
| If you have exceeded your allocated monthly bandwidth you will be charged £4.25 per transferred 1GB. This surcharge is calculated on the 1st of the subsequent month. An invoice will be produced and sent to you. |
| |
| What is a disk space allowance? |
Disk space allowance/usage indicates a nominal size, usually expressed in bytes or bits, of data uploaded and stored on a web server. The size of your website will have to be matched with your web server disk allowance. |
| |
| Can I purchase an additional bandwidth or disk space? |
Yes, any additional data transfer and disk space can be purchased as you need it. The additional bandwidth is charged at £4.25 per 1GB and the disk space is charged at £0.20 per 1MB. However, upgrading your account as soon as you need more bandwidth or disk space is usually more cost effective. |
