  • Before starting you have to make sure your domain name loads properly. If it doesn't (allow propagation time) your email account will not work.
    Also ensure your email accounts at yourdomain.com/cpanel are set up correctly.
     
  • Any important things to know while proceeding?
  • - Make sure your user name and password is all lowercase
    - Make sure you have created the email address in your control panel
    - Put mail.yourdomain.com for both incoming and outgoing mail server
    - Change the user name to the full email address, example: username@domainname.com
    If your email address was not set up:
    - Change your incoming and outgoing mail servers from mail.yourdomain.com
         to the IP address provided with welcome email
    - Make sure you have "My server requires authentication" enabled

  • - Open Outlook Express
    - Go to Tools and click on Accounts
    - A "Internet Accounts" window will open for you.
    - Click on Add, then click on Mail. This will start up Internet Connection Wizard
    - Enter your name in the box "Display name:" and click Next
    - Enter your Email address in the input box and click Next
    - In the Incoming mail (POP3) field type mail.yourdomain.com
    - In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) field type mail.yourdomain.com
    - Click Next
    - Type your username that you have set up from cPanel
         using the following format: yourusername@yourdomain.com
    - Click Finish
